Does This Sound Like Your Business?
Growing businesses face unique technology leadership challenges
No Strategic IT Direction
You're reacting to problems instead of planning for the future. Technology decisions are made ad-hoc without a clear vision or roadmap
Wasting Money on Wrong Solutions
You've bought tools that don't integrate, paid for features you don't use, or chose vendors based on sales pitches instead of strategic fit
Can't Justify a Full-Time IT Director
You're growing but not big enough to hire a six-figure IT director. Your CEO or office manager is making IT decisions without technical expertise
IT Not Aligned with Business Goals
Your technology isn't supporting your business strategy. You're not sure if IT investments are moving you toward your goals or just maintaining the status quo

Common Questions About vCIO Services
What's the difference between vCIO and managed IT services?
Managed IT handles day-to-day support and maintenance (fixing computers, managing networks, etc.). vCIO focuses on strategic planning and leadership (technology roadmaps, vendor selection, budget planning). They complement each other. Most of our vCIO clients also have managed IT services (either from us or another provider).
How much time do you spend with us each month?
Strategic Advisory tier: approximately 4-6 hours per quarter. Active Partnership: 6-10 hours per month including meetings, planning, and oversight. Executive Leadership: 15-20 hours per month with dedicated attention. Time varies based on projects and needs.
Do we need to be a managed IT client to use vCIO services?
No. While many vCIO clients also use our managed IT services, it's not required. We can provide strategic guidance regardless of who handles your day-to-day IT support. However, having both services from us provides better integration and accountability.
What if we already have an IT person or team?
Perfect! A vCIO works alongside your existing IT staff, providing strategic direction while they handle implementation. We help your IT team work more strategically and ensure they have resources and guidance needed to support business goals.
How quickly will we see results?
Immediate value from strategic guidance and recommendations. Most clients see measurable benefits (cost savings, improved efficiency, better vendor terms) within 3-6 months. Long-term strategic benefits compound over years as we help you avoid costly mistakes and make smart technology investments.
What happens during quarterly planning sessions?
We meet with key stakeholders (typically CEO, CFO, operations leaders) to review: technology performance and issues, progress on strategic initiatives, upcoming business needs, budget status, new opportunities, and risks. We leave with clear priorities and action items for the next quarter.
Can you help with specific projects like cloud migration or ERP selection?
Absolutely. Project oversight is a key part of vCIO services. We help define requirements, evaluate solutions, select vendors, oversee implementation, and ensure projects deliver expected results. This is included in Active Partnership and Executive Leadership tiers.
What industries do you work with?
We've provided vCIO services to manufacturing, professional services, healthcare, retail, nonprofits, and government contractors. Industry-specific experience helps, but our strength is understanding business strategy and translating it into technology roadmaps regardless of sector.
